Shiroyama Park Observatory, spreading on a small hill about 107 meters above sea level, standing lushly in the center of the Kagoshima city area, is the highest and most prestigious superb scenic spot representing Kagoshima, where you can overlook the beautiful modern city streets below, the deep blue Kinko Bay, and the grand active volcano "Sakurajima" in a grand panorama. The angle from here is very photogenic, captivating photographers and travelers from all over the world. It is also a place of historical romance of the turbulence where the last samurai Saigo Takamori and others who ran through the Meiji Restoration fought, and it is a sacred place where you can stroll along the promenade of the rich primeval forest designated as a national historic site and natural monument while being blown by a pleasant refreshing breeze, and experience the deep breath of Satsuma with your five senses.
