Fukiagehama, located on the west coast of the Satsuma Peninsula and spanning Minamisatsuma City, Hioki City, and Ichikikushikino City, is one of the three great sand dunes in Japan, a grand coastal scenic spot where pure white sand dunes and blue pine forests continue beautifully for about 47 kilometers. The panoramic view overlooking the vast East China Sea without any obstructions is simply breathtaking. At dusk, you can overlook the world's most beautiful sunset sinking in a straight line to the horizon, captivating travelers and photographers from all over the world. Every spring, the "Fukiagehama Sand Festival" is held, and the appearance of precise and dynamic sand sculpture art is very popular among international tourists. It is a paradise where you can experience the magnificent vitality of the earth while bathing in refreshing sea breezes.
