Held annually in autumn (around November) in Izumi City, "Izumi Machi Terrace" is a modern light art festival boasting one of the largest scales in Japan, where over 10,000 fantastic bamboo lanterns (bamboo lights) beautifully color the historic samurai district and the town. Artisans and residents open precise geometric patterned holes in bamboo cut from the region's rich bamboo forests, and the gradation of warm light overflowing from there is overwhelmingly photogenic. If you step in, you will be wrapped in the nostalgia of the good old Japan and a sacred silence. Because you can experience the fantastic night festival culture where Japan's excellent traditional aesthetic sense and the passion of the warm local community are fused, it fascinates photographers and travelers from all over the world.
