Tsuno Town, located in the mid-western part of Kochi Prefecture, is a nature-rich town wrapped in the blessings of lush green mountains and beautiful pure streams within the grand Shikoku Mountain range. It is globally known for housing the headwaters of the Shimanto River, termed Japan's last pristine stream, drawing many nature hikers seeking the very first drop welling up from the mountain of longevity. It also cradles the "Shikoku Karst (Tengu Plateau)" expanding along the ridge at about 1,000 meters altitude, where you can enjoy spectacular scenery drives and cycling within a different-planet landscape as grazing cattle walk among white limestone rocks scattered across grasslands. Furthermore, beautiful tea plantations of specialty Kochi tea (Tosa tea) color the mountainsides, serving as a place to experience the beautiful, rich living of Japanese mountains and healing with your whole body.
