"Shingu Island," floating just behind the roadside station on Suo-Oshima Island, is a mysterious uninhabited island that can be reached via a "path of sand" (tombolo phenomenon) that appears from the sea only during low tide. This path is also known as a "Lover's Sanctuary," and legend says that if you cross it holding hands with someone important, you will become happy. The experience of walking on a path of white sand surrounded by highly transparent sea gives you a sense of openness as if you are walking on water. You can capture the spectacular view created by nature only for a limited time in photographs, making it a perfect highlight of an island trip where you can enjoy a romantic stroll while feeling the gentle sea breeze of the Seto Inland Sea.
