Ikuchijima, located along the Shimanami Kaido, is known as the birthplace of domestic lemons and is an island where art and history blend richly. The entire island serves as an "Island-wide Art Museum," allowing visitors to enjoy exploring while searching for outdoor sculptures. The main tourist attraction is Kosanji Temple with its colorful and beautiful architecture, and the "Hill of Hope" (Mirai Shin no Oka), a vast white marble garden spreading behind it. The contrast between the brilliant white space made of Italian marble and the blue sky and sea is incredibly photogenic and popular on social media. It is a charming island where you can touch art and nature while enjoying lemon-based gourmet food in a leisurely island time.
