Located around Mt. Osa in Niimi City, this observatory offers a panoramic view of the "karst topography" where limestone is exposed on the surface. The sight of white rock faces scattered in the grassland looks like a flock of sheep, a mysterious sight rarely seen elsewhere in Japan. It is also famous for observing falling starry skies at night due to the lack of surrounding lights. Known as a starting point for paragliding, it is a location with outstanding openness where you can experience looking down at the karst superb view from the sky.
