An ancient shrine related to legends where the "Mitarashi Pond," where the rabbit injured in the "White Rabbit of Inaba" myth is said to have washed its body, remains in the grounds. Since the rabbit brokered the relationship between Okuninushi-no-kami and Princess Yakami, it is known as the "Site of Japan's First Love Story" and a strong matchmaking power spot. Cute rabbit stone statues line the grounds, and the habit of praying by offering special "musubi-ishi" (binding stones) is also popular. By visiting with the adjacent Hakuto Coast, you can enjoy both the world of Japanese mythology and beautiful sea scenery, making it indispensable for travelers wishing for bonds with loved ones.
