Izanagi Jingu Shrine, located in northern Awaji Island, is one of Japan's oldest shrines recorded in Japan's oldest history books, "Kojiki" and "Nihon Shoki." Enshrining the couple deities Izanagi and Izanami who gave birth to Japan, it is filled with a sacred air as the hometown of mythology. Within the grounds, there is the giant "Meoto Okusu" (Couple Giant Camphor Tree), over 900 years old, with two trunks combined into one, boasting immense popularity as a power spot for matchmaking, marital harmony, and safe childbirth.
