Located further into the Amanohashidate area, "Benten-yama Observatory" is a hidden gem for superb views overlooking the beautiful coastline of the Tango Peninsula. From here, you can overlook complex inlets, the clear blue Sea of Japan, and in the distance, the streetscape of Ine's Funaya boat houses. With few tourists and only the sound of waves and wind echoing in the quiet environment, the greatest charm is being able to have nature's formative beauty all to yourself. Built on the slopes of Mt. Nariai overlooking Amanohashidate, "Nariai-ji" is a historic old temple known as the 28th temple of the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage. Located on the north side of Amanohashidate, "Kasamatsu Park" is one of the best observatories for a panoramic view of Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three most scenic views. Motoise Kono Shrine

Located at the northern end of Amanohashidate, "Motoise Kono Shrine" is a highly prestigious shrine with a history where the deities of Ise Grand Shrine in Mie Prefecture were once moved from here. The "Suta-tama" five-colored seated jewels decorating the railings of the worship hall are special decorations permitted only at Ise Grand Shrine and Kono Shrine, speaking to its sanctity. It is also a base for the faith that regards Amanohashidate as a "ladder for gods to pass to heaven" and has been worshiped as the guardian deity of this land since ancient times. Counted as one of Japan's three most scenic views, "Amanohashidate" is a miracle-like natural formation where about 8,000 pine trees continue along a sandbar approximately 3.6km long.
