Built on the slopes of Mt. Nariai overlooking Amanohashidate, "Nariai-ji" is a historic old temple known as the 28th temple of the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage. Long worshiped as a "temple where wishes come true," the exquisite carvings of the main hall and the "Ma-muki no Ryu" (Front-facing Dragon) that looks at you from any angle are highlights worth seeing. The view from the observatory further up is called "Nariaikan," offering the most beautiful panoramic view of Amanohashidate from a high elevation. It's a place where you can experience a heart-cleansing place of training, fusing the dignified air of a sanctuary with one of Japan's premier vistas.
