Mizonokuchi Cave, hidden quietly in the primitive forest deep in the mountains of Soo City, is a magnificent natural "volcanic rock cave" over 14.6 meters wide, 6.4 meters high, and over 224 meters long, created by the erosion of spring water over staggering years through pyroclastic flow from the huge eruption of Kirishima volcano thousands of years ago (tens of thousands of years ago). A beautiful vermilion torii gate stands dignifiedly at the entrance of the cave, and the moment you step in, you are wrapped in overwhelming solemnity and deep green silence. Looking back at the outside from the back of the dark cave, the colors of the lush primitive forest shine beautifully through the frame of the torii gate, which is very photogenic. It is the best sacred place where you can experience the living vitality of the earth and the spiritual world of Japanese natural worship.
