Kanemizaki Observatory, located on a small high ground in the Kanemi district at the northernmost tip of Tokunoshima, is one of the most beautiful superb scenic spots on the island where you can overlook the vast Pacific Ocean and East China Sea ocean view at once. The beautiful promenade leading to the observatory is a primitive subtropical evergreen forest where sago palms, which are national natural monuments, grow thick in many layers like a green tunnel, and you can experience the vitality of great nature just by walking. From the observation area on the summit, on a clear day, you can overlook even the beautiful silhouettes of Okinoerabujima and Yoron Island floating far across the ocean from the best angle, which is very photogenic. It is a power spot where you can luxuriously monopolize the magnificent dynamism of the earth and the pleasant refreshing sea breeze.
