Cape Sada, located at the westernmost tip of Shikoku and stretching slenderly as if dividing the Uwa Sea and the Seto Inland Sea, is a spectacular scenic spot at the tip of the "narrowest peninsula in Japan" with a total length of about 40 kilometers. Driving along the Melody Line running on the ruggedly cut precipice ridge is pure exhilaration. A lushly green natural walking path is maintained up to the pure white, Taisho-period lighthouse standing at the absolute tip of the cape, providing a pleasant feeling of adventure. From around the lighthouse, you can closely experience the powerful dynamism of the sea with rough waves crashing, and on clear days, you can see as far as Oita Prefecture in Kyushu across the Hoyo Strait surprisingly clearly. It is a place where you can feel the overwhelming scale and wild natural energy unique to a remote edge of the world.
