The "Zenigata Sunae" drawn on Ariake Beach in Kan-onji City is a giant sand art piece measuring 122 meters long and 90 meters wide. It mimics the "Kanei Tsuho" coin of the Edo period, and legend says it was created overnight in 1633. It is designed to appear as a perfect circle when viewed from the observatory of the adjacent Kotohiki Park, and its scale is overwhelming. There is a saying that looking at this sand art will make you "healthy, live long, and never troubled by money," attracting many visitors as a power spot for financial luck. At night, it is illuminated and appears fantastically in golden color. You can experience a very unique Japanese landscape where history and faith merge on the calm seaside of the Seto Inland Sea.
