Ritsurin Garden, located in Takamatsu City, is one of Japan's leading daimyo gardens built in the Edo period and is designated as a National Special Place of Scenic Beauty. As described by the phrase "ippo iskei" (a different view with every step), the scenery changes as you walk, and its beauty is highly acclaimed worldwide, having earned three stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japon. With Mt. Shiun in the background, six ponds and 13 landscaped hills are skillfully arranged, allowing you to feel the essence of traditional Japanese landscaping techniques. At the "Kikugetsu-tei" teahouse in the garden, you can spend a blissful time sipping matcha green tea while gazing at the beautiful pond. It is a vast, famous garden that can be called a "living work of art," concentrating Japanese aesthetics with seasonal flowers and over 1,000 meticulously maintained pine trees.
