A massive mountain castle ruin of the Amago clan in Yasugi City, once feared as "impregnable" during the Warring States period. It skillfully utilizes the terrain of the 190m high Mt. Gassan, and remains of stone walls and moats can still be seen. While the climb to the summit is a bit steep, the panoramic view of Yasugi and Nakaumi from the top is the same scenery that samurai saw. It is a moving spot where tragic and heroic historical romances are carved, perfect for those wanting to touch the samurai spirit.
