Once praised as the "Number One Castle in San'in," Yonago Castle still leaves grand stone walls on the approximately 90-meter-high castle mountain. Although the buildings were lost, the succession of exquisitely piled stone walls tells of the techniques and authority of the samurai at that time. The greatest attraction is the 360-degree panoramic view from the Honmaru (inner bailey) ruins at the summit. The superb view overlooking Yonago City, the blue-shining Nakaumi, the curves of Yumigahama, and the majestic Mt. Daisen is one of the best observatory spots in the prefecture. Especially the beauty of twilight and the night view is exceptional. A place where you can monopolize wonderful scenery harmonizing nature and the city while reflecting on historical romance.
