"Yuuhigaura" in Kyotango City is one of Kyoto Prefecture's premier coastal landscapes, known for the beauty of its sunset sinking into the Sea of Japan, as its name suggests. The white sand beach stretching for about 8 kilometers is called "Tokoyo no Hama," and at dusk, the sky and sea turn orange and purple, creating a mystical "mirror world." The large wooden swing "Yurari" installed at the water's edge has gained international attention as a popular spot to take photos against the sunset. With hot springs nearby, it is a top resort area where you can spend a luxurious seaside holiday: enjoying beauty-enhancing waters after watching the sunset and then feasting on fresh seafood.
