"Kyorinbo," located in Azuchi Town, Omihachiman City, is an ancient Tendai sect temple said to have been opened by Prince Shotoku, and a hidden masterpiece also called the "Stone Temple." The garden, especially open during the autumn foliage season, is filled with brilliant red maples woven between massive rocks, offering breathtaking beauty. The space where mossy rock gardens and historic thatched-roof halls integrate condenses the traditional Japanese aesthetic of "Wabi-Sabi." The mystical nighttime illumination has recently become a secret topic among highly sensitive international travelers as a hidden gem of Shiga.
