Reconstructed in 1994 as Japan’s first authentic wooden castle tower, it serves as the proud symbol of this historic town. Built using traditional Edo-period techniques rather than concrete, the interior exudes the scent of wood and the power of ancient craftsmanship. Adjacent is the Ninomaru Palace, a rare original structure preserved from the 19th century. The white walls of the castle blend beautifully with the surrounding greenery, showcasing the rich samurai heritage of Kakegawa.
