Like Funatsu Tainai, it was created by lava engulfing giant trees and remains a sacred site for Fuji worshippers. As a national monument, its interior preserves vivid imprints of ancient tree bark, allowing visitors to sense the immense power of volcanic eruptions from centuries ago.
