This is the only place in Japan, and one of the few in the world, where ordinary cars, buses, and bikes can drive directly along the sandy shoreline. The fine sand, compacted by seawater, creates a firm surface perfect for driving. Cruising along the 8km coast with the sea breeze and waves right beside you is a unique adventure. The sunset view, coloring the beach in orange, is particularly breathtaking and iconic.
