Onogawa Fudo Falls

An impressive waterfall located within the rich forests of Urabandai. The force of the water rushing down the rock face is incredibly powerful, creating a mystical atmosphere in contrast with the quiet surrounding virgin forest. In winter, the waterfall can turn into a giant pillar of ice known as an "icefall," allowing visitors to feel the harshness and vital energy of nature up close. A walking path leads to the falls, making it accessible while enjoying a forest bath.

Goshikinuma Ponds

A general term for a group of ponds and lakes created by the eruption of Mt. Bandai, each emitting mystical colors. Depending on the mineral content of the water and how the light hits it, the ponds show different beautiful colors such as emerald green, cobalt blue, and turquoise. A one-hour walking course is available, allowing you to enjoy the jewel-like water colors that change with every step. It is a "mysterious paradise" created by the hand of nature.

Lake Hibara

Formed by the eruption of Mt. Bandai in 1888, this is the largest lake in the Urabandai area. Its landscape, dotted with beautiful islands, is praised as the "Matsushima of the Tohoku region." In summer, it is an outdoor paradise for canoeing, bass fishing, and camping, while in winter, visitors can enjoy smelt fishing on the thick, frozen lake surface. With many walking trails around it, the lake offers stunning seasonal water views against the dynamic backdrop of Mt. Bandai.
