Also known as "Heaven’s Mirror Lake," this is Japan’s fourth-largest lake and is famous for its incredible clarity. The sight of the majestic Mt. Bandai reflected in the mirror-like water is spectacular. Visitors can enjoy dynamic nature year-round: lake swimming and camping in summer, autumn colors, and thousands of swans migrating from Siberia in winter. The "shibuki-gori" (splash ice) sculptures created by the intense winter cold are a world-renowned natural wonder.
