Lake Towada, which straddles both Aomori and Akita prefectures, and the Oirase Gorge, a 14-kilometer stream flowing from Nenokuchi at Lake Towada to Yakeyama, are among the most scenic spots in Towada-Hachimantai National Park. Renowned for their lush greenery in spring and brilliant autumn foliage, these areas attract countless visitors who come to enjoy the changing seasons or simply to relax and rejuvenate in nature’s beauty.
