Toyotomi Town lies in the Soya region at Hokkaido's northernmost reaches, a nature-rich town blessed with dairy farming and the Ramsar-listed Sarobetsu Wetland. Toyotomi Onsen, one of Japan's northernmost hot spring resorts, is known for its rare oil-bearing spring water and draws therapeutic bathers from across the country seeking relief from atopic dermatitis and other skin conditions.
