Tourism ranches and riding facilities are plentiful, and hands-on horse experiences are enormously popular with foreign visitors. High-quality dairy products including yogurt are another Urakawa specialty, alongside &#8216;Hidaka Kombu&#8217; \u2014 a premium variety of kelp. &#8216;Urakawa Yushun Village AERU&#8217; lets visitors see retired racehorses up close, with horse riding and trail trekking available.
