Its appearance is modeled after the undersea &#8220;Dragon Palace Castle&#8221; (Ryugu-jo), and the contrast with the blue Kanmon Strait in the background is incredibly photogenic. Within the grounds are &#8220;Hoichi-do,&#8221; dedicated to the famous &#8220;Earless Hoichi&#8221; from Lafcadio Hearn&#8217;s ghost stories, and &#8220;Nanamori-zuka,&#8221; mourning the fallen Taira clan, carving a tragic history deep within its gorgeous beauty.
