Built in 1903 and selected as one of the &#8220;100 Historic Lighthouses of the World,&#8221; its white exterior is striking. Climbing the spiral staircase inside leads to a panoramic view of the deep blue Sea of Japan. The sight of the white lighthouse against the blue sky and rugged cliffs is exceptionally moving, especially at sunset.
