A steep V-shaped canyon located in Okuizumo Town. Huge rocks eroded by the torrential flow of the river create a dynamic landscape as if a “demon” (Oni) from a fairy tale had gone on a rampage. A promenade is developed along the canyon, and from the 45m-high giant suspension bridge, you can view the breathtaking scenery. The fresh green of spring and the autumn leaves are particularly superb, and the contrast between the sheer cliffs and vivid nature is spectacular.
