Currently, only the stone walls remain, but the beauty of those elaborately stacked walls tells of the high level of Japanese castle architecture technology. The biggest highlight is the view from the honmaru (inner bailey) ruins, where the panoramic view overlooking the leisurely flowing Kumano River and the Pacific Ocean beyond is spectacular. Loved by locals as a famous cherry blossom spot in spring, it serves as a place of relaxation for citizens where they can enjoy historical strolls and spectacular views simultaneously.
